About the project

For several years I worked at Piqture GmbH in automotive CGI for Mercedes-Benz. My focus covered the entire post-production pipeline — from preparing the supplied CAD data through modeling to shading, lighting and photorealistic rendering in Autodesk Maya. Raw construction data was turned into clean, render-ready models with realistic materials. Many of the resulting images then went into printed catalogues — among them the Mercedes CLC-Class, whose catalogue visualisations I helped create.

Engine modeling

Alongside the vehicle visualisations, my work also included the detailed modeling of vehicle engines for the M-Class — from the precise geometry build-up in the Maya viewport to the final, photorealistic visualisation of the completed engine model.
